An investment in solar today ensures a better energy future tomorrow, and for generations. Long, sunny summers and cool year-round temperatures lead to optimal performance of this clean energy solution. In addition to achieving energy independence and reducing your carbon footprint, solar is a wise investment with positive financial returns. Financial incentives for solar energy are available in Washington and Oregon that make purchasing a system more affordable than ever.
Since Andy Yatteau and Reeves Clippard (the A&R) founded the company in 2007, we have installed 100,000 solar panels for 3,000 homes and businesses across Washington and Oregon. Here's what some of our customers have to say about us and their renewable energy systems. Don't hesitate to ask for references-we're happy to connect you. When storms and earthquakes knock out power, all grid-tied solar PV systems are required to shut down to prevent injuries to utility line workers.
With a battery storage system like Tesla Powerwall, solar homeowners can keep the lights on.

About
Report
We knew this was a lofty goal when we set out to grow our company, and perhaps we were a little naive.
But we were committed to creating a business structure that focused on respect-for our employees, our customers, our community, and our planet.
We believed that by aligning our personal values with our business, we would achieve incredible results, and our efforts are proving to be true.
Since 2007, we have grown into a close-knit group, and our employees are like family.
Even more, our vision continues to inspire our staff and our customers into believing that in order to create a better future, we should always strive to do better-as a company, in our communities, and also as neighbors and global citizens.

How It Works
Report
We've all seen solar arrays, but what exactly happens when light from the sun comes in contact with a solar panel?
Let's review the key components that make up your system and how it all works.
An array is a collection of solar panels comprised of "cells" which harvest the sun's energy.
When a photon from the sun hits a cell, it knocks loose an electron from the silicon atoms that make up the cell.
The electrons are collected by the wires connected to the solar cell and wha-la, power!
These wires are connected to other cells to make up a solar panel.

What It Costs
Report
Congress extended the federal solar tax credit (known as the ITC) for an additional two years.
This means that you'll receive a tax credit of 26% of your system's cost in 2021 and 2022 and 22% in 2023.
A tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction of the income tax you owe.
If you can't use the full value in one year, you can roll over the remainder to next year.
You should check with a tax adviser to make sure you can claim the entire value.
The extension of the ITC demonstrates how committed the federal government is to growing solar across the country.
