We develop, manufacture, and install tracker mounted solar panels. Solaflect was founded in 2007 and is based in Norwich, Vermont. We deliver residential and small business solar solutions, primarily throughout New England, and with a particular focus on the communities in the Upper Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. Our tracker mounted solar panel system, or Suspension Photo Voltaic TrackerTM, follows the sun providing about 40 percent more electricity than rooftop or fixed mount solar panels.

During winter storms, the solar Tracker can be positioned vertically, shedding snow much better than fixed mount solar panels. And snow free panels generate more electricity. Solaflect Energy won two $1 million awards from the United States Department of Energy's SunShot Program. Our innovative suspension technology uses two-thirds less steel than traditional solar tracker designs.

That dramatically reduces costs and makes solar trackers affordable. Solaflect designs and manufactures our trackers right here in Norwich, Vermont.

Solar Solutions
Report
Much like a sunflower, Solaflect's tracker mounted residential solar panels are 'planted' in backyards and fields throughout New England where they accurately follow the sun all day long, providing 40% more solar energy than traditional rooftop solar panels.
With our solar tracker solution, owners can save over $25,000 in energy cost over the life of their Trackers, with a return that beats other long term, low risk investments.
All without drilling a single hole in the roof!
Solar panels generate the most electricity when they are pointed directly at the sun.
Financing Your Solar Tracker
Report
Through our unique partnership with the Vermont State Employees Credit Union (VSECU) and Mascoma Bank, Solaflect offers customized solar financing for solar Tracker customers.
This provides favorable terms tailored to the timing and impact of the 26% Federal income tax credit.
Lenders in New England increasingly recognize that borrowers who invest in solar energy actually improve their financial stability by reducing monthly expenses.
As a result, several banks and credit unions are incenting borrowers with discounted interest rates for solar-related loans.
Solar at Dartmouth College: A Case Study
Report
At the time of installation, 11 Dartmouth graduates had been involved with Solaflect Energy as employees, consultants, or advisors, and more than 20 students from the Thayer School of Engineering had participated in Solaflect sponsored projects that have contributed to this elegant design.
This 4.32 kW Solaflect Energy Suspension PV Tracker was locally designed and manufactured in Norwich and White River Junction, Vermont.
It produces approximately 7,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, enough to power a typical Upper Valley home.
Battery Storage
Report
As a Solaflect Tracker generates power, that power must either be used right away by your home demands or be transmitted to the grid, which essentially acts like a battery, allowing for solar energy 'deposits' that can be withdrawn at a later date.
With on-site battery storage, however, the excess power you generate can be kept at home rather than being transmitted to the grid.
Residential battery storage works similarly to your car's starting battery.
Charging can continue until each battery is 100% charged up.
Sonnen’s World Class Batteries
Report
After two years of research, our first battery offering (there will likely be others in the future) is one of the world's best.
The sonnen batteries were developed with German engineering in Germany where solar innovation began years ahead, and where adoption rates are the highest per capita in the world.
As a result, this battery was developed with both individual family security in mind, as well as the ability to offer many grid services and Virtual Power Plants by combining a large number of batteries.
